Laser cleaning starts at $100 per hour. That is the starting point, not a flat rate: the time a job takes is what moves the price.
What changes the price
- The surface: Steel and cast iron clean differently from aluminum, wood or stone. Delicate surfaces may need test patches and lower settings, which takes longer.
- What is on it: Light surface rust or a single thin coat of paint is fast. Heavy scale, thick coatings, powder coat and many layers of paint take more passes.
- Size and detail: A small part is quick. A large flat area adds up. Tight corners and detailed shapes are slower than open surfaces.
- Access and location: Parts dropped off at our Washington work yard are simplest. On-site jobs depend on travel and setup.
