Powder Coat Removal and Surface Prep in Southern Utah
Powder coating is tough, which makes it hard to remove. Chemical strippers are slow and messy, and blasting can pit the metal or warp thin parts. Jared's Surface Prep removes powder coat with a laser and leaves the metal clean and ready for recoating. We can strip the whole part or only the spot you need.
What we do
- Full strip before recoating wheels, frames, fixtures and furniture
- Selective removal of failed areas, repairs or damaged spots
- Surface prep before powder coating or wet paint, including removing rust, oxide and oil
- Removal at mounting points where coating blocks fit or conductivity
Why laser for powder coat
- No chemical stripper or burn-off oven.
- No media impact on thin or detailed parts.
- Precise — protect adjacent areas and finished surfaces.
- A clean substrate helps the new coating bond.
Working with powder coaters
We prepare parts for coating shops and can work with your coater on timing. We do not apply powder coat ourselves.
How it works
- Send photos of the part and coating condition.
- We confirm with a test patch when needed and quote the job.
- We strip or prep the surface.
