Rust Removal in Southern Utah, With No Chemicals, Grit or Grinding

Rust eats metal, and the usual fixes make a mess: wire wheels, sandblasting, acid baths. Jared's Surface Prep uses laser cleaning to lift rust off the surface and leave the clean steel underneath. It works on small parts and large equipment, and the surface is ready for paint, powder coat or storage when we are done.

What we remove rust from

  • Car, truck and classic vehicle frames, panels and parts
  • Trailers, RVs, Jeeps and UTVs
  • Tools, tractors and farm equipment
  • Machine parts, molds and fixtures
  • Fences, gates, railings and decorative ironwork
  • Antiques and cast iron

Why laser rust removal

  • No grit or dust cloud — nothing to sweep up or wash off.
  • No acid or chemical dip — no fumes, no neutralizing, no disposal.
  • Keeps the metal — we remove the rust, not the steel.
  • Reaches detail — good for bolts, welds, edges and decorative work.
  • Ready to finish — clean metal accepts primer, paint and powder coat.

Southern Utah conditions

Red dirt, monsoon moisture, road salt on winter trips north and sun-baked coatings all take a toll. We see off-road vehicles, trailers and equipment that need regular cleaning. Real local job photos will appear here as we collect them.

A note on heavy rust

Light and moderate rust cleans quickly. Heavy scale on large areas takes more time, which affects price. We tell you up front. If the metal is rusted through, no cleaning method can fix it, and we will say so.

Bare steel can rust again quickly. We do not apply a rust-preventive coating after cleaning — plan to seal or coat the surface soon, or work with a local coater.
